14-17 April 2004

The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) and The Wellcome Trust. The Wellcome Trust Conference Centre, Cambridge, UNITED KINGDOM

We are pleased to announce the first joint The Instsitute for Genomic Research/Wellcome Trust Conference GENOMES 2004, which we believe may be of interest to you. The meeting will held at The Wellcome Trust Conference Centre, The Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridgeshire, UK from Wednesday 14th - Saturday 17th April 2004

GENOMES 2004 will bring together people from academia, government and the private sector to discuss these new advancements in the microbial genomics field. Topics covered by the conference include microbial genome diversity and evolution, microbial pathogenomics, and comparative genomics. This three-day conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss the studies and findings of world-renowned scientists. Attendees will also have the chance to share their research with their peers at the conference's poster sessions.

This conference will be an excellent resource for those involved in developing and exploiting new microbial sequencing, computational, functional and other genomic-scale high-throughput technologies and also for the bench scientist with an interest in understanding and utilizing the burgeoning wealth of microbial genome information.
