2000 SA burden of disease study

The SA Burden of Disease Study 2000 is an in-depth analysis which used different sources of data to estimate the causes of death and disability that were experienced in that year. In addition, 17 selected risk factors are currently being assessed to quantify the contribution of each risk factor to the overall burden of disease.
