Has your child Experienced or Witnessed any of the following TRAUMATIC EVENTS,

Rape, Sexual or Physical Assault, Domestic violence
Gang violence, Criminal violence, Serious accident, Death?

Since the INCIDENT has your child started EXPERIENCING ,

  • Troubling thoughts or dreams about the traumatic event
  • Anxiety symptoms (such as trouble falling asleep, difficulties concentrating or irritability)
  • Feelings of being down, or of wanting to avoid things that they used to do?

If so, it is possible that your child could be suffering from a condition known as

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University is studying the treatment of this condition. There are no costs involved for participants.
